Terms and Conditions

Last updated September 28, 2026

These terms cover your use of the Pulse app, its beta and this website. By using Pulse you agree to them, so please read them. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data.

The short version

  • Pulse is a wellness tool, not a medical device. Its scores and estimates aren't medical advice.
  • AI nutrition estimates can be wrong. Check them when accuracy matters.
  • The beta is free, may change or break, and may end.
  • Your data stays yours, and you can delete it at any time.

Who can use Pulse

You must be at least 16 years old and able to agree to these terms. You're responsible for keeping your account secure and for what happens under it.

The beta

Pulse is in a private beta, offered through TestFlight by invitation. Joining the waitlist doesn't guarantee an invite. During the beta the app is free. Features may change, stop working or be removed, and we may end the beta or your access to it. We'll share pricing before Pulse launches, and nothing you do in the beta commits you to paying for it later.

Not medical advice

Pulse is for general wellness and fitness. Readiness, sleep and calorie scores, nutrition estimates and everything else in the app are informational. They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease or condition, and they're not a substitute for advice from a doctor or other qualified professional. Talk to one before changing your diet, training or medication, and don't ignore or delay professional advice because of something you saw in Pulse. If you think you have a medical emergency, contact emergency services.

Scores depend on data from your devices and connected sources, which can be missing, delayed or inaccurate.

AI estimates

When you describe a meal, AI models and nutrition databases estimate its items, portions, calories and macros. These estimates can be wrong or incomplete. You can edit any item, and you're responsible for checking them if you rely on exact numbers, for example for a medical diet or an allergy.

Your content

You keep ownership of the data and content you add to Pulse, such as meals, workouts and places. You give us permission to store and process it only as needed to run Pulse for you, as described in the Privacy Policy. If you send us feedback, we may use it to improve Pulse without any obligation to you.

Acceptable use

Don't:

  • break the law, or use Pulse to harm anyone;
  • access other people's accounts or data, or try to get around our security or limits;
  • overload, disrupt, reverse engineer or scrape the service, or use automated means to sign up or submit data;
  • resell or redistribute Pulse or its content.

Other services

Pulse connects to services we don't control, such as Apple Health, Google Health, Fitbit, and Sign in with Apple or Google. Your use of them is governed by their own terms, and we're not responsible for their availability or the accuracy of the data they provide.

Our rights

Pulse, including its design, software, name and logo, belongs to us and is protected by law. These terms give you a personal, non-transferable right to use the app while your access lasts. They don't give you any other rights to it.

Ending your use

You can stop using Pulse and delete your account at any time from the app's Settings. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or if we stop offering Pulse. The sections on medical advice, disclaimers and liability continue to apply after that.

Disclaimers

Pulse is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including that it will be accurate, uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits or health outcomes, arising from your use of Pulse. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or US$50. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms and will revise the date at the top when we do. If a change is significant, we'll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. If you keep using Pulse after that, you accept the new terms.
